About the Fire
A Wild at Heart Fire is not a Bible study, church recruitment, or therapy group. It's a space for men to come together around a fire, talk honestly, and support one another in the journey of becoming more godly, grounded, and courageous men.
- Leave pretense and performance outside the circle.
- We're here to be real — not perfect.
- This is not about religion. It's about reality.
- We are all "chimney sweeps". Leave your job title and credentials outside the circle. If you need to discuss your job, you'll refer to your position of being a chimney sweep.
- What is shared at the Fire, stays at the Fire. Transparency, confidentiality, and honesty are paramount.
- Bring something to sit on. Fires are held outdoors.
- Feel free to bring something to eat, to cook over the fire, or to drink. Water, tea, and sometimes snacks will be available.
- Respect the time and space of others.
Prepare for the Fire
Each fire encourages reflection around these five core questions. You don't have to have answers — just be ready to reflect honestly. Think about the following questions or even write down your answers before the Fire (this isn't homework but a guide to help you understand your reality):
-
How's your heart?
- This question prompts you to reflect on your emotional and spiritual state.
-
What's your current battle?
- What are you fighting FOR or AGAINST? This invites you to share the challenges or struggles you're facing.
-
What's your current call to adventure?
- What do you feel like is your calling at this point in your life? What excites you? This encourages you to consider areas in your life where you might need to step out in faith or take bold action.
-
What's your frontier?
- Where do you feel naked, exposed, or vulnerable? This encourages you to think about new ground you're exploring or growth areas in your life.
-
How's your beauty's heart?
- How is the heart of your significant other? What would she say about your emotional and spiritual health?
The goal isn't to perform or impress — it's to show up. Every man has something to offer and something to wrestle with.
